12/31/13: Happy New Year!

Tomorrow we'll be exactly 29 weeks! It seemed so improbable we would still be here a week ago. And surprisingly it's flown by. So fast that I realized i didn't send an update yesterday. 

We had a great visit with bob and Emily! I still can't believe they flew across the country to hang out in a hospital room, especially when they are the busiest people I know! Bob helped Aaron clean out his art room and move furniture downstairs so we can turn into a nursery. Emily de-christmas'd the house and measured the nursery to help me figure out where to put everything.  It was the best medicine to just get to hang out with them. 

We have BIG plans for New Years! Kristin and our friends Emily, Kevin and Erin are here and the party won't stop til 9 pm! We're charging the nurses a cover to join. Don't look at the photos unless you want to be really jealous!

In medical news, we had an ultrasound today and baby's growth is good! It was a little scary to see how low the fluid is but the doctors reassured me that the baby would be okay even without any fluid. But he had a nice full bladder and will continue to fill his baby pool. 

We are so excited to start a new year and despite all of the madness in 2013, we're thankful for a great year of health, happiness and wonderful friends and family. This whole ordeal is the best reminder of all the blessings we have in our lives- especially each of you. I'm the most thankful for the most amazing husband! He has been the most calming and helpful force through all of this and I'm so excited to see what an amazing father he will be.

Cheers to 2014, the year a new Brady will be joining us!!
